The DSGN Studio & Havwoods: Bharti Global Project Featured on the Cover of WoodBook
We’re delighted to announce that our Bharti Global project has been selected as the star cover feature for the September 2026 edition of Havwoods’ WoodBook.
Released three times a year in the UK, alongside multiple international editions, the WoodBook is widely recognised by architects, designers and developers as the definitive guide to wooden surfaces, reaching more than 40,000 design professionals and property owners across the UK with every edition. We’re very proud to have our Bharti Global workspace design appearing on the front cover, recognising the design approach and carefully considered material choices behind this project.
Bharti Global: A New London Headquarters in the Heart of Mayfair
Completed at the beginning of 2026, the project involved the transformation of Bharti Global’s new London headquarters in the heart of Mayfair.
The brief was to create a sophisticated, contemporary workplace that reflects the identity of a global organisation while providing an environment that feels welcoming, considered and distinctly connected to its London setting.
Every element of the interior was carefully considered, from the architectural detailing and furniture selection through to the lighting, finishes and flooring.
A key part of the design was the use of Havwoods flooring throughout the workplace, bringing warmth, texture and continuity to the interiors.
The Role of Timber in Workplace Design
Wood can have a transformative effect on a commercial interior.
In a corporate environment, natural timber introduces warmth and tactility, helping to soften architectural spaces while creating a sense of quality and permanence. For the Bharti Global headquarters, the flooring became an important part of the overall material palette, helping to connect the different areas of the workplace and provide a consistent visual language throughout.
Working with Havwoods, we were able to select flooring that complemented the wider interior scheme while meeting the practical requirements of a busy London workplace.
The result is a workplace where natural materials sit alongside contemporary furniture, refined detailing and carefully considered finishes — creating an environment that feels both professional and inviting.
Designing a Workplace with Character
For The DSGN Studio, successful workplace design is about more than simply creating a functional office.
The best workplaces balance the needs of the business with the experience of the people using the space every day. They should support collaboration and focused work, while also communicating something about the organisation itself.
For Bharti Global, this meant creating a headquarters that feels appropriate for a global business while retaining a sense of warmth and individuality.
The use of natural materials, including the Havwoods flooring, was central to achieving this balance.
Seeing the Bharti Global project selected as the cover feature of the September 2026 WoodBook is a fantastic milestone for our studio and a testament to the collaborative approach behind the project.
From the initial design concept through to the completed workplace, the project brought together a talented team of designers, suppliers, contractors and specialists, all working towards the same vision.
We’re particularly proud to see the flooring specification recognised by Havwoods and featured so prominently within the publication.
The project demonstrates how carefully selected materials can play an important role in shaping a workplace, not simply as a finishing touch, but as an integral part of the architectural and interior design.
