(BRIEF)
The brief for this project was to deliver a modern and functional space for AJ Bell’s flagship London office whilst accommodating the various needs of their dynamic and ambitious workforce.

AJ Bells story starts in Salford Manchester, growing from a small actuarial consultancy, they have become one of the largest investment platforms in the UK and an award winning FTSE250 company.
With their London office, the client was looking for a space that functioned differently. Something that had a better flow and feel to the design.
Working with the architecture of the building, our first priority was to highlight the incredible panoramic views across London. We took what was originally a linear, closed off space and opened it up with a predominantly open-plan design, facilitating different zones through the use of glass partitions, furniture and biophilia.

(KEY FEATURES)
We introduced a large cafe space in the entrance of the office as opposed to having a reception area, this presents an open, buzzy feel as soon as you enter the space.
Alcove seating, high-top counter and dining seating allows for a more expansive breakout area, encouraging collaboration and catering to different requirements.
Cultivating a sense of wellness was foundational to this design, for this we utilised biophilia. We position planters throughout, further helping to decorate and distinguish different zones, without blocking off or disrupting the flow of the design.
In addition to the open plan desk seating we incorporated a variety of fixed meeting rooms in the design, showcasing the beautiful views as you look out across London. We used BOSS Muse pods, both bigger 4 person pods and some private single person booths providing both collaborative and private work zones throughout the office.

The final result is something that meets the needs of the clients growing team and a space that is exciting and enjoyable to be in.
